BLINDED BY THE LIGHT

I need to start this blog by commenting on how committed Justin is to his blog. It may be the one area of life where he puts the majority of the population to shame, i mean say what you want about the rest of justin's life, but dont ever bash his ability bto write a consistently entertaining blog.... on an incredibly regular basis. The guy doesnt even have a real internet connection at his place, now that's commitment to the blog.
Commitment to the blog, something i lack. my last post was nearly 3 months ago. it was infact written right at the end of snowboard season, which is almost here again. I guess this is the part where i catch up on what i've been doing since then
so here it goes; i am now a Journeyman welder, b pressure cert. I got fired from my job at the end of june, over the stupidest argument in the world. went to bc for wakeboard camp, had a new job 2 days after i got back, they actually called me asking if i was looking for a different job, the guy had no idea i got canned. so that was easy. i've been spending most of my free time trying to get a bit of wakeboarding in on the river while the weather is decent. as far as friends go... they've been dropping like flies, falling victim to......Marriage, LOL. just kidding, congrats gotta go out to Evan and Mike who both got married this summer, to girls. Matt and Paul were down from they're new home in the north for Mike's wedding, so it was nice so see those dudes.
Now that i've updated the happenings of my summer i can divulge my plans for the future. this week i plan on working, wakeboading as much as possible, getting a haircut, not going to the Ex, next weekend i will be traveling to portage le prairie manitoba with Aden for a wakeboard comp called throwdown. it's looking like i will be riding, this is my first comp ever which doesnt mean i'm all that good but it should be fun anyway. when i get home from that i will prolly be leaving for edmonton to find a new job, there's a lot of work for welders near there so hopefully i get what i'm looking for. which is not to say that the place i'm at right now is no good, they treat me really well but i'm not all that interested in what they do.
That's pretty much all i have to say, except that i will try and follow justin's example of a consitent and entertaining blog from now on

Remember to breathe

Can you handle the pressure?, this was the question asked of me yesterday, when I welded my 6 inch B-pressure pipe exam. The answer, Heck Yes I Can!, this passing this test gives me a valuable certification that is required to weld pipe, which will be under pressure, it also helps me get paid more. It was also one of the most difficult and stressful things I've ever done but now it's over, but I still need to pass my Journeyperson exams, Weld practical, and written. After the pipe thing was over Dave and I drove to Calgary, we didn't arrive till about 2:30 because my testing ran so late. But we Made it safely which is the important part, Justin took us to a 24hr breakfast place at 3 am, very tasty!, ansd then we crashed out in his living room. justin lives in some apartment building in downtown Calgary on like the 19th floor, his balcony has an amazing view of the downtown . It also has a wireless internet connectiop so I am outside right now writing this. It's pretty much the nicest day of the year and today we are going to Sunshine for a bit of snow... er slush boarding. Tonight is the boys night out/blueskies at war show, so that should be a lot of fun too. Mike and Corey are staying at Justin's too but i dont know if theyt'll be able to come to that, they have a big track meet on the go so they might have to get a decent amount of sleep. We'll prolly head home sometime on Sunday, but not before we go to some Mexican restraunt that Dave has been talking up the whole trip. The next 2 weeks are crazy for me since school is wrapping up, tons of test and stuff. So hopefully everything goes well.

Music: the drive yesterday was filled with emo songs that Dave and I knew the words to, much singing along was done, I prolly had the best dashboard playlist ever running for a solid 45 min, also hard gangsta rap was sprinkled in throughout the trip for the purpose of keeping awake (ante up anyone?) .

What More Can I Say.......

So I know I have made it somewhat know that I think blogs are a little narcissistic, because who is really so important that the whole internet wants to read about them? So this blog isn't for the whole internet, only people who think I am important enough to read about. Also, I have been noticing that I have some important friends, and a girlfriend(what's up Brooke) who don't always live in Saskatoon and don't get filled in on the small, but interesting going-ons of me, in Saskatoon. So i will start things off with what happened today. Today i wrote a small test at school, 85%. then in the afternoon me and dave went to backside where he picked up his wakeboard, (he's gonna be pissed that i mentioned that before he got a chance to post). but whatever. i also got some new boardshorts, which are rad. It seems as though dave and i both like getting new things right now so on monday i think we're getting a new gym, not that i really had one before, but i think it's gonna end up being the PAC, at the uni. we tried Cal-fit but it wasnt anything special it was however free, for one visit, so full advantage was taken.

Coming through the headphones: Jay-Z, obvious by the title of this post
